I am a second-generation educator. My father, Dr. Gene Edward Rooze, was a Professor Emeritus in Education at Texas Tech. I have been teaching since 1991, starting with a seven-year stint at Weslaco High School in Weslaco, TX. After finishing seminary I returned to teaching, this time at the post-secondary level. From 2004 until my moving to Florence, SC, I served as an Adjunct Instructor at Tri-County Technical College (Pendleton, SC) and sometimes as an Instructor at Clemson University. Since 2008, I have been an Instructor in English and Religion at Florence-Darlington Technical College, where I also serve as the chair of the college’s Curriculum Committee.
